As part of the NTLEA Strategic Planning process, the Executive Committee of the Association, as voted in by the Full Members, is proposing a re-structure of the membership status and financial capabilities.
Full Members
- Persons, firms or corporations who are licensed to export livestock.
- AQIS accredited vets (AAV) and accredited assembly yard operators that are licensed and
actively engaged in the preparation of livestock for export from Northern Australia to East Asia.
- Maintain 1 full voting right per member
- Membership fee: reviewed annually at the NTLEA AGM
Corporate Members
- Corporations with multiple outlets or representatives whose interests or activities have some related
association with the production, handling or shipment of livestock (but are not Full Members) will be
known as Corporate Members
- No voting rights
- A 2-tiered financial commitment
- Tier 1 - Membership fee: reviewed annually at the NTLEA AGM
(1) Allows Corporation to have advertising and supporting rights in all publications submitted by
the Association as well as receiving all information developed and forwarded by the Association
- Tier 2 - Membership fee: reviewed annually at the NTLEA AGM
(1) Covers general membership whereby the Corporations receives all information developed
and forwarded by the Association
Associate Members
- Persons, firms or corporations whose interests or activities have some related association with the
production, handling or shipment of livestock for export (but are not Full Members) will be known as
Associate Members
- No voting rights
- Membership fee: reviewed annually at the NTLEA AGM
Management Board
- Consisting of the CEO, Chairman and 5 Full Members (voted in by Full Members) to manage the affairs
of the Association
- Berrimah Export Yard Management Committee to manage the yard operations and make
recommendations back to the Board for significant capital inputs in excess of $25,000.
