Berrimah Export Yards

National Livestock Solutions (NLS) Pty Ltd operates the Berrimah Export Yards on the outskirts of Darwin.  The yards are owned by the NT Livestock Exporters Association, who remain associated with the facility.

The feedlot is a fully accredited AQIS live export depot and currently has facilities to hold 3,849 cattle prior to export.  It is strategically located near the East Arm Wharf and Hudson Creek Wharf.  It is also conveniently located close to the offices of several large live export companies, allowing for convenient access for exporters and their clients (MAP).

The Association is committed to abiding by government and environmental regulations and delivering a service to the expanding growth and reliance on yard space required.

The holding facility currently operates with a full time on-site manager, with casual and seasonal labour used as required.  The yards operate on a user pays basis, with the staff focus clearly on feeding and watering cattle.

NLS has developed a cost effective recovery system that assists cattle to quickly recover and continue growing after mustering and transport.  We aim to carefully prepare cattle for the export journey to ensure they travel well.
